About Developers

  • Adobe Illustrator: was originally developed by Adobe Systems and was first released in December 1986. The initial version, Illustrator 1.0, was developed by a small team led by David Balsam and programmed by Mike Schuster. The project was started in 1985 and the team aimed to create a drawing program that could be used alongside Adobe’s PostScript page description language. John Warnock and Charles Geschke, the co-founders of Adobe Systems, played instrumental roles in the development and success of Illustrator. Warnock’s vision for a universal page description language (PostScript) greatly influenced the creation of Illustrator. Over the years, Adobe continued to invest in the development of Illustrator, adding features and capabilities that have made it a widely-used vector graphics editor and an essential tool for designers and artists in various industries.
